When AC is on I have a high idle

Anybody ever have a problem where if your AC is on the car will idle at like 1800 rpms??? Even with the heat it will sometimes do it.... Cant figure it out

it's probably the IAC going out. It's supposed to bump the idle up some when the a/c is on but not that much.
try cleaning it first though

Yea, mine did the same thing. Was very annoying at stoplights..the car would rev up and drop repeatedly at idle. The only time I ever used the A/C was during the rain so the inside glass wouldn't fog. IAC didn't help it, and ended up eventually just doing the Ford Racing A/C delete. I don't have to worry about it anymore! :thumbsup:

mine does it too. but i dont have to worry about it anymore because the high now will be in the mid 70's
