where are you guys getting the build dates from? I have always been curious as we ordered ours before they were even on the road yet, it was the 2nd one in my town so I know it was early in the builds.

I had not heard this, can anyone confirm?

95's had the SVT Badge, 94's did not.

My build date is in April of 94

Just to clear things up. The Build dates are on the door tag you do not need to call SVT to get that. You call SVT to get your build number, Like mine is #42 out of 5009 and they can sell you the build sheet if you dont have the orginal

don't suppose that works just fer a GT?

The build date will be on the door tag. Your build # is unknown. GT's were mass produced no records were kept of which one was which # built unlike the Cobra's which all have build numbers assigned to them.

The production MONTH and YEAR are on the door tag, but not the date. I called SVT and now know that my car was built on 05/09/94

I know, thats what I said. My build date was April of 94 according to the door tag. Its called the build date but it does not give you the actual day the build date and door tag are often terms that are interchangeable. The build number gives you the actual day but it also give you what # yours was built out of how many were built that year. SVT is the only way to find that information out. Used to be able to get the SVT Certificates for free but now cost $45 to get one if you no longer have the one that came with the car.
