where do I put the aftermarket temp gauge sending unit?

SOrry for such a noob question, but when it comes to the 5.0 I am a noob.

I want to retain the factory gauge,but I also have a mechanical one not hooked up.

I just put the sending unit in the stock location. Not much use for the stock gauge after you have an aftermarket

I put the autometer sending unit in the stock location, and then bought a thermostat housing that had a threaded hole in the top for my oem sender
