I got a set of hubcentric 1 and 1/4" spacers off ebay for 75 dollars... took a little searching to make sure it was hubcentric but I haven't had a single problem with them and they're actually really nice.

The hubcentric ones have a lip that stick out that your wheel fits over and sits on, rather than just being flat. Therefore the wheel is sitting on the spacer rather than sitting on the bolts.

how do the hub centric ones actually work? do they just go over the studs? do they include the same threads as stock studs (so i can use my lug nuts)? and will they work with aftermarket rims as well?

Yes go over your studs
Yes same threads
Yes will work with any wheels

Get H&R or a well name brand. MM etc.

Well... the ones I have actually work differently. You use your lugs to bolt the spacer to your hub, then there are seperate studs coming from the spacer itself that you bolt the wheel to. So it is a seperate tightening process to tighten the spacer down and then your wheel actually tightens down to the spacer with studs from the spacer itself.

I bought mine from AmericanMuscle.com. They sent the site some $.

The ones on american muscle say they wont work with stock applications...I am getting OEM Satin 03 Cobras this afternoon ( :dancing6:) ...they are stock on 03s so I am kinda scared to buy spacers that say they wont work with stock wheels.

I have real '98 Cobra rims, and they work just fine. Don't stress too much, I'm sure they'll work out for you. Mine said the same thing.
