Why do you want one? Why not a shift light or something like that? I had one mounted in the first sn I had in between the gauge cluster mound and the a-pillar. But I took it off because #1-it was useless, and #2-it was huge lol

the stock tachs and gauges tend to be in accurate over time and i've NEVER owned a mustang out of about 13 that didn't have that issue.so I want an accurate reading on my engine vitals instead of guessing.

I thought you said above that you have never seen one NOT accurate (man i'm a dumbass) but after reading it agin you were saying you haven't seen an aftermarket tach that you DID like yet. sorry and I agree they are NOT for everyone but I just have to have it.

My only thing with those huge tac's is you better have the speed to back it up... I hate slow cars with big tacs... hidden shift lights are sick though

not a fan of having two tachs, it's a waste of money. Might as well just buy a raptor shift light and save the money.

I personally have an autometer gauge panel setup that only allows for one 5" gauge (speedo) and I'll be mounting the tach high.

I have seen how far the temp/volt/ pressure gauges can be while it was at the tuner but the tach I was not aware was off by all that much. How much are we talking? Is there a certain time that it isn't accurate? I just built my gauge pod for two more multi-gauges so I can monitor more sensors then I have displays because I just am not a fan of having 15 different gauges facing me.

i have noticed that my tach is generally a good 200rpm off. it also dies periodically so the aftermarket one has really come in handy. it also is hooked up to my wideband so that i can do playback of the A/F at given RPMs. if i were to do it over again, i would have gotten the florida5.0 replacement cluster and have gone that way. still might in the future.

Mine was out quite a bit more by the time ur at 5500 on the stock tach it would actually be wound right out and bounce off the limiter. At 6000 on the autometer in my car it was reading it was reading like 5200 on the stock tach. I bought a after market tach because there was no reason that my car should fall on its face at 5500rpm. Boom problem solved

so let me get this straight. I guess all of the stock gauges are off to some point, and no one likes them and replaces them all with multiple gauges all around with ugly add-ons. Sounds like some smart dude needs to make a good looking dash replacement that everyone would love and buy?
