Which battery disconnect?

Any ideas or advice on other switches? I think I would prefer a push pull as apposed to a twist style. Any of you guys know where to get them cheaper?

Personal preference, something like a battery disconnect you look for the quality of metal quality in the switch and how it "feel" you want something that is gonna feel like a solid piece ya-know??? Alto of the NMRA guys and local NMCA and local track guys I talk to really say that is all they have ever used and haven't had issues with it. Mine came out of an 03 gt which the owner owned a Performance and Dyno Shop, so if its good enough for him (who is quite pickey) its good enough for me.

Cool. Im still looking the rotary style are starting to look more appealing since they are so much cheaper. But I cant install it until it warms up so I might run across a good deal.

i have a jegs turn-style. i chose it because i find them a little more cosmetically pleasing. got the anodized aluminum back plate to clearly state "on and off"

my mistake. i got the morrosso switch with teh jegs handle and jegs back plate. if i recall correctly... id have to go look at my recipt. its been sitting in my garage for a year now. lol.

One thing you can do is get some spacers to push your License plate out and then you can fit the knob under the license plate.

I'm going to order the Flaming River push/pull style shortly since I'm doing the whole battery-in-the-trunk thing in the notch.

One thing you can do is get some spacers to push your License plate out and then you can fit the knob under the license plate.

Thats what I was planning. I saw another member on here do the same thing.

true but I dont drive my car much so it would be easier to be able to reach behind the plate and switch the power off when Im not driving it. When I had a guy wire my guages they are powered all the time, So i usually just unplug my battery anyway.

I do but havent gotten around to it yet. I use to drive it everyday so it didnt matter. Where do you guys have your guages wired to?

Are you talking about the light bulbs? Mine are just plugged into one side of the illumination circuit (fuse #13) and it works great. If you're talking about power for sending units or other electrical gauge shenanigans, it's needs to be a 12v switched source.

My bulbs are wired into the headlight switch. Ill find a better 12v source when it warms up.
