with the lowest HP in stock trim, but maybe the most potential

they're rated at 390 at the fly from the factory but they have 380ish at the wheels from the factory and do cat back exhaust a pulley a tune and a CAI and you'll have over 450 at the wheels

To lazy to look at what engine your reffering to but I'm assuming the Termi.

First and foremost your putting a Modular Engine into a Pushrod based car. As far as ease of install, you just threw it out the window and screwed their wife. Your going to have to replace the entire front suspension for the most part, and the entire computer/wiring for the engine/trans. No Bueno.

+1 Internetz to Steven for posting a killer combo, like I said, I wish I had sold the 96 and gotten a 94/95 before I was knee deep in my 96. lol

I love your swap. I'd much prefer yours before a bigger push rod motor. Ironic cause I own a '94 and want a mod motor.

Generally speaking, most people on the other side of the fence want in on what they don't have. 5.0 guys want a modular, and modular guys want a 5.0, unless your duffy, but lets not speak on his behalf lol. I don't really see the fence, its just what you prefer. I will say that the PITA that comes with one, certainly comes with the other, just in a different form. Depends on what your doing with the car. The easiest thing, hands down to do, above all of these swaps is a carb'd pushrod. If someone swings there dick around trying to tell me its not, I can make a pushrod motor run with one wire as long as the starters hooked up. If thats not simple, I don't know what is.

Haha isn't that the truth? Never happy with what we have.
Thats what drives the American economy... if we were happy with what we had we would have no motive to work harder and succeed

Being content with what you drive, or own, isn't necessarily what drives america. It's the drive to improve our world, our status and our environment. I'm pretty content as I am, not much I desire. As new gadgets come out I look at it hard and decide whether its really worth buying, or am I just over spending. But thats a whole other conversation in itself

Touche', but at the same time there is a BIG difference between being happy with what we have and yet still wanting to continually improve (i.e. built myself an engine, was happy, but then wanted a supercharger, got the supercharger, but now want a TKO and built rear) - and being complacent. Being complacent I would agree is a waste of a life.

408

I'd stay away from an 03-04 Cobra motor. Cast iron block, terrible cams, 8.5:1 compression with known problems of piston to wall clearance.

If you want a 4v..I'd just build a Teksid block..which can be done for a really good price. But not my money.

So my vote goes 408 for all the options
