Hi,

Looking to replace my stock headlights and I'm struggling to decide between OEM Cobra and smoked Cobra style, both with amber corners.

Does anyone have pics of either of these fitted to a Deep Forest Green car?

If you want to drive at night, go for the OEM cobra headlights, the smoked one's barely light up the road.

Personally the OEM cobras are my favorite lights to begin with. If I were going smoked I would probably do a projector retrofit so they work well.

If you want a darker looking headlight, get a darker housing w/ clear lens rather than smoked lens. Depo has some good selection.

Mine have black around the non reflect part, but you can also get projectors that are all black.

as they said if you drive at night you will hate smoked lights even if they are only lightly smoked.

agreed that with out them I would have stuck the stock lights back on but again it wasn't an ideal situation by any means. I also have heard hids helped but I had mine smoked long long ago...

Projector retrofit would be best if you want smoked lights. Best if both worlds, good looks an good performance...

I always liked my Black Beauties best on my DFG. I switched to a one piece and didn't like those and now have a black housing projector from Depo.

Old headlights from @ 2003. I would like to restore them one day.

I have custom depo projector headlights I made 5 years ago. I pulled the smoked lens off one set and mated to depo headlights. It really gave me the best of both worlds. Now that I dont put daily driver miles on it anymore its not a big deal.

I like the AM Black Cobras over the OEM GT lights. So far no issues after the first year of use. I'd prefer a reconditioned OEM set of Cobra lights though. I think they light up the road just fine ...but not like a NEW car does .

The build quality on the aftermarket lights always strikes me because I been thru 3 sets. :(
