Scientific studies show that the comparison of which is faster between a stock 1995 5.0 vs a stock 1996 npi 4.6 can only be done at the track, while being closely monitered so no B.S. can be added to the scientific formula. It is also necessary that the track be cleaned of small children, kittens, ping pong balls, and any debree that might attribute to B.S. being added to the scientific formula.

Just depends on how the motor was assembled that week on the factory assembly line. I am a believer in factory freaks as well, not all cars are created equal in a factory. I was reading a article on cams and its quite possible that when they assemble motors in the factory that the cam degrees are not in sync with each other so one side can make more power than the other, thats why some motors are stronger then others if they both stock. This not only the reason but I believe this could be one of the reasons.

it doesnt really matter, theyre BOTH slow as balls compared to what they should be out of the factory

i think the horsepower was about the same.but the 5.0 had more torque..so it felt faster .
