I'm looking for a good set of those projector headlights for my 95 stang. I want to do HIDs the right way, where you have a lens to focus the beam, that way you don't blind oncoming traffic. But which set should I choose? I have heard that you have to watch out for poor quality, when it comes to these aftermarket headlight setups. I saw this, but I'm not too sure I like the wrap-around look:

E-Bay has a nice hand made set for $600.00 but your best bet is to only get a set of Depo's like the ones shown above.
Blue Oval Industries and some others sell them. Don't get the off brands. DEPO make the good ones. Use the "Search" option here on the forum to research. Good Luck!

The ones that det_roit has are the best ones out there...all the one piece setups look terrible and fit terrible. Get the DEPO ones, or try to retro-fit some.

If you wana spend some cash i have a buddy that does retrofits on the side. it'd be like 500 bones though but you could use w/e housing and projector that you want

the "right" way would be a retrofit with projectors that are supposed to use HID bulbs. I'm pretty sure all the projector lights made for our cars are made to be used with halogen bulbs.

I am by no means an expert, actually no practically nothing about them. Apparently there are high quality projectors (The lens "eye" component its self) that are bright, clear, HID compatible, and create a beautiful cut off line.

So what you're saying is, all that projector stuff really isn't necessary. Cause if you're not blinding people, what is the point of focusing the beam down narrower?
