White face gauges - how to change them in your instrament cluster

If you go to www.superbrightleds.comhttp:// you can buy a 194 single led that has a 120 degree bowl on the tip of it so that you get an even light spread. this is what i put in mine. they are dirt cheap there and the ship really fast.

Excellent point, I got some and need to swap them out. figured it would help with the bright spots.
Do you have a picture of how yourse turned out.

Where did you get your white face gauges at? I like how yours look. Many of the ones I see look real cheap and cheesy with the font and style they use. Yours look more like the stock Cobra ones

I got them from UPR, but they don't seem to have them any more.
just those reverse glow pieces.

it was a silver gauge face.

I have done this mod, and have the LED's mentioned in TxCobra instructional thread. Here is what your LED's suppose to look like with white & black (stock) face guages..

So I keep hearing two different things about the bulbs and getting the lighting to be even. Which is the CORRECT bulb? Can someone post a linky?

JerZey, that looks very nice! Which bulbs did you use? and are they the "cool white" ones? That is SO much better than the nasty green stockers!

The back of the stock gauges are actually Thicker in parts. Thats why the light output is even...

Finally found the reverse glow gauges I liked, so I got 'em. I don't like the gauges where the whole face glows, that looks boring. These look just like new stock Ford gauges. Here they are installed.

The light output is PERFECT. I wish mine were like that...
