Recently, I changed out the blown stock struts/shocks for Steeda Pro Action stuff. Not going to win any races with them but at least the car isn’t a wallowing pig any longer. The goal is to upgrade to Vorshlag/MCS TT1 coil overs but I had to do something in the meantime. Terry has laid a solid path for me to follow and I’m excited for what I’ll come.
The install was extremely straightforward and almost too easy.
Apparently, we took the rear bump stops out completely at some point.
Look at that witness mark! That’s how shitty things had gotten when the shocks deteriorated.
I am happy with the ride height and can turn my attention to other things, for now. Now that the suspension is a little tighter, I’ve now realized some of the bushings must be worn. When you weave the car back and forth quickly you can feel it. You can also hear it squeak when you rock the car in park. I’ll have to decide what gets replaced first.
The next few things I plan to address:
1. AC blend door actuator failing
2. fuel filter
3. Revise catch can setup
4. Fresh window tint
