So me and a friend were kinda playin on the highway and he floored it to pass me. Jus as he was a gettin into my left lane I gave it gas. He pulled ahead till about 1/2 a car ahead of me. ( Because my shiftdown took so long i think) and from there we stayed even till i slowed down for a hill. Who would win if we started from a dig?

Mine: 95 gt cai, gears, auto transmission
His: 99 Camaro 3.8 no mods as far as i know... he's got a manual.

I thought i woulda caught him and gained at least, but i just stayed even....wuts up?

I think the only reason it was somewhat close on the highway is because the Camaro started first, it's hard to pull back on someone who gets a running start unless you are a lot faster.

man if I could not keep up with a v6 camaro on the highway or from a dig, I would be buying a camaro.

Being at highway speeds though I am willing to bet your gears were no advantage.

Yea. I told him we should race from a dig and he kinda waved it off. Hes got a old malibu hes puttin a 427 in, and he said he wants to race me with that....haha yea... but yea. if I get to race him again ill let ya know how it turns out.

you should walk on that. I think the v6 camaros are slightly faster than a 3.8 mustang so you should have no problems... you're car is lighter and it puts out more than his does. If you guys do any races you should take it to the strip one night and have the numbers on paper.
