Sounds a bit low but not by much. Those Trickflow heads seem to dyno in the high 270s to 290s. Some guys have gotten 30x hp out of them. I just watched a 92 stang on horsepower with the trickflow kit get dyno 276 I think it was and you know how shows are just like magazines they try to pump up numbers.

With longtubes I would think you would at least be in the 290s with that intake too. Maybe your tuner sucks lol. Im sure you could get more out of it. Can you post the dyno sheet? What was the AF ratio? Tq? RPMs?

270 rwhp sounds a tiny bit low, but about right to me. People tend to exaggerate what they "should" put down.

do u think it could have any thing to do with no msd?

msd isn't going to make that considerable amount of difference. what would is things like your reg. tune-up
(plugs wires, cap, rotor) what octane gas are you running? timing? plus all the questions 5.0wned asked....

Was it really hot and humid the day it was on the dyno? Do you live in a high-altitude area? Ambient conditions play a big part in power numbers.

I'm kinda in the same situation, making about the same power with afr 165's, however the cam was in the car when I bought it and I have no idea as to what it is exactly. Were you on a mustang dyno or dynojet?

Cracking 300 rwhp really isn't as simple as heads, a cam, and intake, and "you should make over 300 rwhp". Everyone say's it, but no one seems to do it.

Does any one know anyting that might help the car make more power staying NA

Stroker.

Or knowing what cam you have/getting a bigger cam.

More compression.

More cubes.

Bigger exhaust.

Better tune.

etc. etc...

those sound like numbers for a car with an automatic, are you auto or manual, i went last week to have my computer re-tuned for NA and a tune for nitrous, NA my car also made 272 to the tires and i have a stock cam, that is kinda weird though, my friends car has more done to it than mine, 5 speed and its .030 over and only made 285, i would say just check everything over and make sure its all good

Also, comparing dyno numbers from one to another isn't really a good comparison. Different environmental conditions, different correction factors, different dynos, and all other manner of mayhem will affect dyno results.

Finally, people are WAY too hung up on dyno numbers.

Paul.
