wierd grinding noise

so i just put 4.10's in my car, and at approximatey 2600 rpms she's making a weird grinding clanking noise. I'm taking it back to the shop on tuesday, but does anyone know what might have gone wrong?

Yeah, the shop that did the swap simply unbolted the old gearset and stuck the new one in with the stock shims. I would watch them this time and see that they actually use a dial indicator and some damn caliper's.

agreed.. definately make sure they have it shimmed right.
