Will 96-98 vertical tails work in place of 94/95 horizontals?

Just wondering if it's that simple or if it requires a different harness. Thanks for any help.

All you have to do is get the 96-98 taillights & wiring harness. Its all plug and play. :thumb:

Excellent. Thank you very much. I'm looking at cars in the 94-98 range, but don't really like the squinty little 94-95 tails. Plus, I was told that those years come with the housing as a whole rather than an outside taillight bezel like the years after that. Most 94-95s I find have severely faded tails as well, so it's great to know that I can buy some from the later years and throw them in. :coolsmiley:

Since my question was answered so quickly, I guess I'll use my thread here to pose another question:

The 94-95 5.0 or the 96-98 4.6 modular? Which and why? Some prefer each and I'm just curious as to why.

Actually you dont even need the whole harness all you need to do is buy a replacement bulb/socket and splice it onto the 94-95 harness because 2 of the 3 tail lights are already the correct bulb and socket. Very easy and much cheaper than buying the whole harness, and go for the 5.0 they are much cheaper to modify and have a much larger aftermarket scene.

Yeah it is blasphemy to replace the better looking horizontal tails! LOL..JMO. I really like mine much better.

I used to hate the 94-5 Tails especially after i bought a 96 but now i have grown to really like them and if i were to pick up a 94-5 Cobra i would keep them.
