Will AT from Mustang '01 work on Mustang '99?

Hello.
I have Mustang V6 1999 with broken AT, is it possible to install AT from Mustang '01 to it?
Will i need to make any changes, such as another sensors or whatever?

It will work. Only thing I can think of is you will need to make sure to reuse your 99 flexplate, but you wouldn't be removing it off the crank anyway

And why do they have diffirent part numbers? Isn't there any diffirences at all between them?
