Flowtech is not the best of quality out there...if they are for your car I am sure they will work.

I have the mac ones now and am regretting it. When i come to a stop the vibration in the exhaust is makings somthing on the header rattle and it sounds like crap.

I have flowtechs off my old fox on my car now. They fit no problems. Mine rubbed a little on the K member, nothing all it took was a little notching.

have you used a set of flowtechs?
I had a set of them on my truck for nearly 10 yrs. They fit perfectly and never leaked. I pulled them off and sand blasted them and wrapped them w/ heat wrap around the 8 yr mark on my last rebuild and they were 100% rust free and had no cracks/split welds. I went to the wrap because the truck became strip/show only and it honestly helped w/ the underhood temps, especially when you needed to work on it immediately after a pass.
I also ran a set of their terminator mufflers, they held up 10x's better than flowmasters and sound like dynomax welded mufflers.

Im going to when i do the head swap. That way they might be easier to pull out.

You realize now that you wrapped them they will probally be rusted out in a couple years...At least that's what I remember from the last time we talked about this...

it will rot them out, its someone else's problem now. at the time i needed it, the underhood temps were so bad it was vapor locking after every pass and sometimes just cruising. I had every cooling trick and component in the world on that engine when i was done w/ it and you could drive it for an hour open the hood and the carb would be luke warm to the touch. it was a trade off letting a $100 header rot.

I'm glad this topic was made, I've been seeing these Flowtech headers alot lately, and being I'm having trouble finding a set of used long tubes, I may go with these...

IIRC they are 1 5/8 primaries, cheap, apparently they fit good. I'm wondering how they sound and the performance from them, compared to BBK (bang for the buck)

I just talked to my local speed shop guy, he said he sold 2 sets of Flowtech headers and said both came back asa result of them not fitting up well at all..

This really sucks to hear because I really want to try a set out. Bing I'm strapped for cash, these are inexpensive long tubes...
