I took the differential for a whole rebuild, like moseraxle, detroit tru trac, and ring & pinion. the stupid shop forgot to replace the studs for the brakes rotors and wheels. and he installed the whole Diff. so can the studs be installed now?

by studs do you mean the wheel studs and if so then yes they can still be put in, just need to take the brakes off

We ground a notch in the back to get it installed.

Really? Interesting...

Got more info on where you ground the notch and whatnot? That's an interesting approach.

...although pulling axles really is pretty easy.

Yeah. Actually what happened was i got the stud snapped off so I had to replace one. All we did was dis-assemble the wheel and tap out the old stud. Then we got the new one and we tried fitting it and found that we barely had no clearance but it was because of the "head". So we went to my buddies grinder and shaved off a little on the head to make it flat. It did not compromise the integrity, well at least it has been like 30,000+ miles, so it just slid in.

If I has pics I would show ya

Good to know they can be installed, then I will install the differential today and then since shops are closed here today (in UAE ) I will go tomorow and get new studs.
