this is what im thinking. wires are not meant to be bent time after time. eventually they break inside the rubber.what happens sometimes is when wiring is ran through something like a door/hatch the copper is creased so many times at the hinge of the door or hatch that it breaks internally. and only makes the connection again when the door is opened (creasing the wires so that they can make a connection) manufacturers are cheap and only use the thinnest wire as possible. you could break only half the strands of wire inside and it wont be enough to carry the current. does anyone else agree with this? hope i helped!
