Since my car is gonna be hibernating in the garage for the next few months thanks to winter :nonono: I decided I'd start doing some of the little things that I've wanted to do and maybe do alittle experimenting.

PICT2073.jpg

I really want to straighten out the engine bay cause it's so messy. And it's been that way since the motor swap. I just haven't had anytime to mess with it; but because of the snow I have a few months to get it done ;D I haven't actually started the engine bay yet but here's what it looks like right now. Ideas and input are greatly appreciated O0
ENGINE BAY

DOES ANYONE HAVE INPUT ON HOW TO MAKE THIS STAND OUT?

u at school or work or something lol, I had to wait til i got home to look too

yeah i would say the engine bay def needs to be cleaned up a little bit. lol.

Why are you only painting some parts of the interior black and leaving the rest tan? it's looks kind of mix and matched :/

My driver's side bezel was cracked and I had to replace it, i sat and played around with it for a while to figure out the cover came off (i had all night so I wasn't in a hurry lol)

Only parts are painted to better coordinate the interior.

I think he means buy a new car haha

Anyways. I am not sure how mechanically inclined you are. Did you do the swap yourself? From what I remember of the pic your valve covers were painted silverish? I would unbolt the intake manifold and paint it silver as well. While that is off you can take off your head covers and paint them with the same paint. The little lines on the head covers look really sharp if painted a contrasting color (such as blue or black would match the wires in your case). Dalamar did this. Also do the same to all the metal parts on the plenum/tb/iac. On the throttle body there is a ford emblem. I painted my blue and outlined the FORD letters in silver. I got a lot of comments at the last show I was at. You can also paint your alternator since it is staring you in the face as soon as you open your hood. Another thing is the pulleys you can take them off and paint them all a gloss black. All of the little bolts that you see when you open your hood can also be painted to a color of your discretion (silver, black, gold). I gotta look at the pic again to think of anything else. Ill BB!

Great ideas!! O0 Do you have any pics of your bay?
The valve covers looked so good before the install. I'm really p%&*ed about them getting so dirty.

I've seen a few painted alternators and :puke: but they were painted really crappy. I'd like to see one that's painted half way decent.

hmm...I was happy with mine. I tried to give it a more polished look by using wire brush on it but it didnt really work out. I just smoothed it out and painted it silver. Looks a lot better than the stock finish IMO.

Yea, silver and I hand painted the ford logo blue and left the FORD letters silver. Looks really sharp O0.

I don't have my flash drive with me or I have some on there. Gotta wait till I get home :(.

edit: actually I may have posted some up on here. I havent done my head covers yet I was going to do those when I do PI cams.

Here is a pic of mine..still gotta do the head covers. Still got some dust in it too :-\. You have the better looking alternator too O0. I like the 96-98 looks better than the 99-04. I didn't even think about doing the electrical box top...might go well with my silver trend good idea.
