Again... I don't get the stealth thing. Would you spend 6 grand on a twin turbo setup to hide it? If it is a street racing thing then I can accept that. But to spend money on something just to hide it just doesn't make any sense to me.

hell yeah i would hide my TT kit.... i would love to have one of those Twin Turbo kits that mounts by the tranny so it just looks like a CAI from under the hood.

.... Its good to keep things hidden.... it surprises people and cops in Cali. like to pop hood and roll you for mods.

...i like people thinking my car is stock :coolsmiley:

I was asked a while back by a guy on another forum , how he could make more power... and i told him... "move out of cali" True to the bone dude

I been to Cali too many times. There still ain't nothing like a Southern woman. You can keep the super cars. I like my car insurance cheap. Got the beach here in the South too. Our water is actually warm in the summer. I have 5 drag strips within an hour's drive and road racers have Barber's Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta is a 3 hour drive from here.

My kit is somewhat hidden, though if it came down to it, anyone could detect the car having nitrous without much problem.

My bottle is in plain sight--no big deal. I have no reason to go popping the trunk for people.
My nitrous feed line is ran under the carpet for the most part and isn't visible. Thats because I didn't want a tacky install.
My solenoid is mouted on the firewall. It's not hidden by any means though I could fab something up if I needed to do so....but why?
My nitrous line from the solenoid to the nossle has wire loom on it just to make it look decent. My nossle is connected under the intake tube just so it doesn't get in the way.

There isn't a reason to 100% hide the system, as you can detect spray if you really insist on doing so.

Not so much. Once you do it once--that's about all you'll get out of it. People don't take losing money too well so once you do that to one car, everyone will know.

People that are racing for money aren't tools for the most part. They know their car and have a pretty good idea as to what your car is capable of.

This is why street racing is bullshit. One man died because a car lost control. The money man was shot because he wanted to check on the guy that got hit by the car. This happened in Alabama. This is why I have ZERO respect for ANYBODY that races on the street.

I guess it's just different in the Houston area for the most part. There are main meets and most atleast know basics about a certain car.
I went to a dyno day not long ago. I waited until I was the LAST car to dyno during the event and even then, I received a few text messages saying congrats on my numbers. Hustling for money is something that you can do only a limited amount, people will catch on.

I don't go out to race for money, I know better than that. I don't bother racing at all on the street as I couldn't afford to goto jail for such a lame reason.

everyone one of those street races are tools. they are are easily hustled and dont know if they are getting hustled. That why you let them see everything so if they miss something with there own to eyes, then its there fault.

...i once went to the street races in So Cal with my friends POS Bmw 318i (E30) and went up to some STi owner than was asking to race people.... i said "Hey, Wanna race my BMW... Its a Stock POS"

He looked at the car and said "Yeah".... then i said "Ok, lets race for $1,000, Its 100% Stock"

everyone including the STi was shocked and started to get scared.... Really scared. They started getting on here hands and knees looking under the car. They even asked us to pop the Hood and we Said "No, it doesnt Pop" and they got even more scared.

..... In the end they refused to race the POS BMW because they actually thought it was modded hard because we wanted to race for $1,000...... They were REALLY scared even thought we were telling the truth about it being 100% stock.

Thats the kind of things you can do to hustle people at the races... just tell the truth and say things in a certain way and people get hustled

Yes there were. The 2 guys driving are big time ORSCA racers. Both drivers are facing manslaughter charges. The guy holding the money was from here in Huntsville. he was shot once in the chest and twice in the back. The guy who shot him is from Florida and he has murder warrant out for his arrest. There was $20000 on the line.

That street is a big time street racing area in Birmingham.

truthfully, i don't see anything wrong with raceing around with some friends... i personally don't do it on main highways, busy roads, curvy road... only country roads where there isn't anything to hit other than a ditch... now, those car were to damn fast to be on the road... street racing or not. Further more, street racing has been around since forever... did you know that Henry Ford had a race with the "chevy" dude, and it was a street race... lol slow as it may be. Now, what has given street races a bad name is the damn fast and the furrest shit. Thats not how street races should be... to many people causes problems.
