so i was reinstalling my h-pipe and i didnt hand thread the nut on and i cross threaded it and snapped the bolt. its a 5.0 and i have stock headers. is there a way to replace the stud on the headers? if so where can i find the part. i looked at autozone, checkers, orielys and napa.

you might be able to unscrew it out of the header. Might
OR drill out and put a nut and bolt in there.
OR buy headers
OR buy someones old stockers if the bolts are intact. (I have my origionalsif you want them)

oosk, you need to be extra careful with these nuts, they are really weak and strip extremely easy.

as for how to remove the stud. Go to NAPA, they have a stud removal tool. it's a circular item with a hole the middle that grips as you rotate it with a ratchet. that'll remove it. napa sells studs as well that will match up. To reinstall you're going to need a stud installation tool that napa should have. DO NOT USE THE REMOVAL TOOL TO REINSTALL. The removal tool grips the threads on the stud as it removes it and chews the threads up, you don't want that on the new stud!

If you have a local Mustang forum, I'd just ask on there if anyone has a set laying around. Most people just trash 'em once they buy headers

Happened to me back in the day and i used a torch to heat it up and then pound it out. Much easier, if you have a torch that is...
