No, it wont harm the tranny, in fact, it will shift faster which is better for the trans since it doesnt create as much heat.
Im not really sure how it works 100% but there is a pump and somehow the tuner raises the line pressure so that when the car changes gears the accumulator has alot more pressure behind it so you get a firmer and quicker shift basically.
The Jmod does this mechanically.
