Hey guys, I gotta guy selling an xpipe pretty cheap. Thing is though, it's for a 99-04 model...I guess the O2 sensors are located differently and to fit, I would need some type of extention...anyone ever heard of this? Is it possible to fit a 99-04 xpipe on my 97??

So I read about BBK that their xpipe pumps out a 15-25 HP gain...I find that a little hard to believe as I thought that exhaust additions (besides headers) did more for sound than power. I figured at the MOST a midpipe would produce was 5-10HP....anyone got any thoughts on this?

It doesnt exactly produce MORE hp but FREES UP or makes that much more hp available by lesser restriction in the exhaust and making it flow more freely.

It will fit but you will have to use the brackets from your old pipe for the connectors that connect into the headers, i just cut mine off and re welded back together to fit my headers.

they make MIL Eliminators, this can bypass the O2 Sensors. My car had 6 cats and 4 O2 sensors and the xpipe had all the hook ups I needed.

did you use a 99-04 pipe? Also if I use a 99-04 xpipe, will I need to purchase 99-04 catbacks?

No, you don't need a 99-04 catback. The only difference between sn95 and new edge is the hanger locations. Nothing a little simple welding can't fix.
