Hey guys I'm placing an order tonight for xxr531's I just need to confirm the offsets and sizing. The car is a 1995 gt I'm wanting to buy 18x11 for the rear and 18x8.5 or 18x9.5 for the front but I don't know what will fit and will rub. Please chime in as soon as possible. Thanks everyone.
I have googled this and found that some say 18x9.5 is fine and some say 18x9.5 will rub. As far as i can tell I need 20mm offset front and rear.
+20mm with a 9.5" wheel will be pushing it. if you run a +20mm offset in front i'd do the 8.5" or a smaller tire on a 9.5". like a 255/265/35
I have 17 x 9 RPF-1's on the front, 22mm offset, 255/40 tires. 95 GT. No rubbing. ReplicaR on here I think is running 17 x 10 up front; it works, but I think he had to do some work to get them to fit.
I run 17x9.5 rpf1's up front and it don't rub. Now I run 2.25" spacer up front and I still don't rub lol
I run 275's on a 9"x17" rim & barely kiss my anti sway bar in front at full lock in one direction only....not an issue at all!
Well...I'm not everyone so...I say go wider in front, but I also like having all that rubber up front for extra grip. I intend to run 315s up front some day so take what you want about that statement Also I'm running 18x9s with 24mm offsets with 275s all around currently. I don't have any rubbing of suspension parts
I run 18x9.5 +15 up front with 265/35/18 and don't rub. Car sits pretty low as well. You should be fine +20.
I'm having a lot of trouble finding the finish that I want in Canada. :s our dollar is too crappy to order from the U.S
hell send some of that down to me and I will trade ya for some good money. wonder how many dea agents will be digging through the box of brakes I have comming in 2 weeks?
