Hi all
i want to talk about my cousin 1994 lincoln town car 4.6 ,i know its stang forums but we cant find the answers in lincoln forums.
he love smoking the one wheel wonder at turns and roundabouts,but now the car wont spin or hear the tires when floor it.we did a complete tune up ,after the tune up the engine run smother & respond better but still wont to spin even on a dusty road.the tranny shift good.what cause this problem please help.

how many miles are on the car?
any mods?
It could be the tranny slipping. When was the last time the fluid was changed?

300K still run good no smoking or oil burning at all.
no the tranny shift OK.

it could also be the torque converter slipping, 300k that converter has seen better days, and just because the tranny shifts good doesnt meen the clutches have the grip u need to spin the tires, id either look into the tranny or throw in some 4.10's even a 4 banger with a slipping tranny will smokem with 4.10's
