sumotomo's suck if you didn't know......... No traction and they don't last worth a crap but they are fun to slide around on.

American muscle says 265/35-18 front & 285/35-18 rear. But that is on a staggered 18x9, 18x10 setup...I'd say just check out any of the distributor sites as they usually always include tire sizes with wheel selection.

depending on the front size you'd be lookin at a 285 or 295/35-18 or a 315/30-18. May need to ditch/flip quad shock and other minor tweaks.

Bingo you nailed it. The wider the better. Think about it, more tire on the ground more traction you get, depending on the tire of course lol

Yeah but it also depends on which model of tire you get and what you are using it for. I ALWAYS thought Sumotomos sucked. But when I was doing road course with the HTRZ 3's they were amazing. Excellent lifespan and stuck like mad in corners even at 110 + degree surface temps. Now the stang I just bought has the normal first gen HTRZ sumotomos and they have a horribly soft sidewall and handle like crap. Sadly I don't think they make the HTRZ3 in a 315 tire size or I would be all over them!

Most important part of this statement. A good 275 with hook 10 times better than a cheap 315.

You put fatter tires on for the look. When you cheap out on tires, you get what you pay for.

i like 315's but if ya go lower or already are you would have to do some other mods for sure!! unless you have little backspacing. like 4" or less, lol. on a wheel with 6" b/s a 315 would have to rub all day. especially on your quad shock.

I run a 315 with my 10.5. It fits perfect with a slight hang over of the rim I love it. And I run sumitomo in the rear. Yea the grip isn't there to much but as far as a Fd tire I get alot of miles outta them. About 1 1/2- 2 years. I also don't do alot of burnouts or anything of that nature.
