Thanks for the advice tony, I hope it doesn't come to that...

Hey Ron, what lowering springs are you using in that pic?

I had no rubbing with 265s/295s with my H&R SS, now it's 3/4" lower and it only rubs around hard left turns in the rear. 315s may put it just over the edge but BFG 295s are pretty wide.

Hey Onyx, did you leave Isos in or did you remove them?

onyx i'm trying to say if he uses a 315 tire and lowers his car with h&r ss springs he may rub in the rear. alot of people do. i did on 275's. yes i have a 20 but to me it still seems as though it will rub.

I had 285/35/17 in the rear and lowered mine with ford c springs. I rubbed my rear fender lip almost every time i turned and went over the slightest incline. Really shredded the sidewall in a short 3 day period. Luckily my tires were not directional and were still safe so i could just rotate them where you could not see the scraped up sidewall. Then i took a grinding bit and just removed some of the lip.

Have any of you guys had rubbing issues in the front at all with 18x9 wheels? Sounds like the main problem is that lip in the rear fenders

I always had isos but I did switch to poly ones cause my stock rubber ones were pretty rough.

I think even now with my car lower I'm still not rubbing the outside fender lip, I feel like its rubbing on the inside but I have yet to take the wheel off to investigate. I thought with 315s most people had clearance issues with the exhaust, quad shocks and the inner fender and only trouble with the lip if they were really low. the super sports only lower the rear 1.6" if my memory serves instead of the 2" you get from the sportlines.

my 18x9s with 265s never rubbed in the front but I also had 03 cobra A arms.
