I'm sure its not cheap to get a t5&t5 mount, clutch, flywheeel, nor a 5.0 mount/kmember, maybe suspension too, tune, wheels/tires, fuel system, it adds up faster than you may think. Plus the wiring must have been absolute hell! I give him props lol, I couldnt do it.

Yeah right, dropping in a 5.0 into one is easy along with it's tranny/clutch/fly. fuel system can be done super cheap as well. wiring you can adapt the 5.0 harness easy like he did. look at the guages for christs sake they are just stang guages in random retard places to be an ass.. I helped a buddy swap one while I was in pheonix. It is not expensive unless you are a jackass. This kid honestly took an easy swap and made it very ghetto.

There are guys who have done this swap for less than a grand.

This is cool and all for the meaning of the car to annoy people. But kid ruined an easy swap and does not have 400 hp. Or 13k worth of mods. Especially if he did custom brackets to mount things. Which he claims.

Well the vid leaves a lot to the imagination. I have a hard time believing 13k too, but if he had to pay a shop/buy new for stuff like rear suspension/ new "built" t5, "built 5.0" then yeah its possible. Especially considering he is in cali which is more expensive than other areas.

If he is legit at 350-400ish then I see no reason he didnt pay for a built t5, custom driveshaft, rear diff, all he specifically says that he did himself was wiring up guages, maybe he paid a shop 4k for a rebuilt engine w labor too? Idk, but its not too crazy imo with the way small things add up. I'm above 13k in my pos with all the little things/tune/maintenance. I'm sure that a ancient rx7 needed lots of little odds and ends to get it driveable since he said he only paid 350$ for it.

It's possible. But he'd have to have a fully forged non oem blocked 347 with a build t5/rear to do that was build in a shop (im referring to hitting his 13k price tag not power). 350-400hp... lol.... But I promise you he does not have that. He has a Edlebrock intake FFS....

Everything else. He ghetto bombed to redo a car.
Stock fuel system with a few stang goodies. really basically 0 money was spent here
stock interior - no money spent except some switches/ghetto guages.
crappy rims- next to no money spent

I'll give him maybe tires. but.. that's it for exterior. And then there is just the engine/trans swap. for 10-12k? No....

I think he's 'charging for his time' in the estimate. Becasue the sum of all parts does not equal the $13K he claims. Even if we assume he's using top of the line stuff.

The stuff you see in the vid would maybe top $5K. Ya he's a kid, ya he lives at home, but where's home? MALIBU, I've been there, maybe there's a Malibu ghetto where houses are only $750K, but I'm sure if he wanted to build it with a new paintjob, autometers with custom built console, carpet and seats, and a tastefull bodykit to hide the ghetto oil cooler and get some more air to the radiator, it could have been done. I think the goal here was to be Mad Max of Malibu.

And the tire's don't appear to be DOT. :) Just 'sayin, not hatin', it's definitely different. Maybe that's the latest trend coming from Cali, built cars that look like shit.

This thing is not that cool guys.

Props to the kid for building a somewhat unique car and dropping a 5.0l in it. But he tried to be cool by building a shitbox racecar for the sake of building a shitbox racecar.

I am always kind of jealous of people like this and rat rod guys. Imagine being able to work on your car without fear of scratching it or feeling the need to paint every bracket you take off when working on it. Just enjoying the car, making noise, 200hp or 800hp, who cares just beat on it.

13,000$ and 2 years of time...this fking trustfund kid...

seems rich people waste money making sht cars and norms try and make shit cars nice....
rich? 2 years at 13k would be 6500 a year, or 125 a week. if he lives at home and has no bills, works say 25-30 hours a week part time, he easily has that. just puts every penny into it

Meh.. I kinda like the home brewed crap can lol. I think the kid did it to have fun. I mean come on... What more fun could be had then ripping everything out of your car and rigging up some shit you could only think of in your head, and then taping the damn speedo to the cowl? Honestly I think it's pretty sweet. Would I drive it? Hell yeah. Would I own it? Hell no. But it's still cool to see rollin down the road. Like "Hang on I hear a Mustang coming.." Then followed by a "......What the fawk was that?" Pure win. Props to you pizza boy
