Saving up for a Vortech V-3 to put on my stock 5.0. With the V-3, shorty headers, o/r midpipe, 3.73s, bigger injectors, maf and a dyno tune, what kind of #'s should I be looking at? Should easily make 300rwhp no?

Oh yea. That will not be an issue. My 86 Fox with stock heads/cam pulled down 400rwhp.

Whatever you do, make sure you have enough fuel. Pump, injectors, and a safe street tune. Then have one for race fuel and the track!! :)

would not be a bad idea to increase your stopping power since you are increasing the motor power.

I made about 325 rwhp with my procharger 8 rib setup pushing 13 psi on my 95. On my 93 tune its probably around 335. Only mods I have are equal length mac headers, offroad x pipe and flowtech mufflers and 2.5 tails, anderson power pipe, smog delete, 75 mm throttle body. And of course I upgraded with 42 injectors and 255 walbro fuel pump. I'm later gonna swap In either a holley systemax or trick flow intake in hope of 350+ rwhp. You should be around 290-300 rwhp with 7-8 psi on a completely stock 5.0. Is yours an auto or stick?

That's pretty lame considering you can make 300 n/a with a healthy longblock, GT40 top end, e-cam, exhaust, and no tune.

I would expect more on 13psi, my 86 had a P600B with intercooler running 11psi. Headers, GT40 intake, and pulleys.

I know i was disappointed :(. It did make awesome torque numbers though. On the dyno sheet after 5,100 rpm the power just literally dropped. In fact the peak power was at i believe 9 psi.

See it's a good find for both of you, even though at that price it's probably already sold.

I think you should look to match your vortech with heads, and an intake. You could do gt40 stuff and you would probably get a sizable increase in power. Theres alot of GT40 stuff for sale on craigslist all the time. GT40 upper and lower intake- $125 or less. GT40 heads I usually see any from $200-$500 with ones that have been fully rebuilt with better than stock parts. Just a thought to do all of that at once since you are going to have to dyno tune it. It will save you some trips later when you find you want alittle more power that wont take you out of a safe PSI area.

not sure if its the supercharger or the power that you like more but you can get 300 hp with just a trickflow top end kit.
