00 gt running sluggish

hey guys i have a question for you. my dads 00 gt has lately been running sluggish and i cant figure out why. ive replaced spark plugs figuring they were well overdue anyway but it still didnt fix it. i dont know if maybe the engines just tired, but it just seemed like it just came out of the blue one day. any ideas on what i could check or do? the car does have 180000 on it and i know thats high mileage but like i said it just came out of no where. it wasnt a gradual thing.

What maint has been done to it? Filters especially (air, fuel) should be changed

Also did the problem start after changing plugs or before? What plugs did you use and what gap?

i wanna do a fuel filter in it yet. but everything else should be good. like i said, it was just like an all of a sudden thing. i used stock gap which if i remember is .52-.54 or something? i dont remember off hand. im thinking the motors just tired
