03-04 double wrapped steering wheel ??

has anyone switched there steering wheel in there sn95 to a double wrapped cobra wheel from a 03 -04 years ? I have a 95 gt vert and my steering wheel has seen way better days. how hard is it to swap out steering wheels and do I need a puller or any other special tools for install ? also has anyone done the swap and have pics of it ? my steering wheel seems so thin and the wore out spots just make It look horrible,, hoping maybe the double wrapped wheel would improve the looks of my interior ? thanks again guys

I don't have the 03 cobra wheel but I did swap mine, you will need a puller but everything else is rather straight forward.

man my wheel is straight disgusting. The jersey girl that owned it before me scratched the shit out of the leather.... it's now half black and the filth won't come off. I've been looking all over the junkyards for a nice black one to no avail.

Can anyone explain how the airbag should be dealt with?

I had mine wrapped by redline leathers. They made a pattern and I have seen pics of wheels that peole sewed up themselfs that looked every bit as good as the one they did for me.

You don't need the wheel puller. I bought one only to watch it not work. At the advice of the guy at autozone - take the bolt out and then hit the top/bottom/both sides of the wheel with a medium blow with your hand, then give a light tug. It almost fell out in my hands...

Still need to get a better pic of the wheel. Trying to get my dash back together to do it.
