08 F-150 STX Wheel Suggestions

I know its a Mustang site but from what I've seen a lot of you guys are also in to 4WD's. My work truck/daily driver is a 2008 STX 4WD. It's a single cab, 4.6, manual transfer case. It's currently sitting on 315/70/17 Kumho Road Venture M/T's, on Ultra Lightning Wheels.

Also now it has a black billet grille I just don't have any pics yet.

Last year I got tired of the chrome and plasti-dipped my wheels, and now it's starting to come off from wear and off-road abuse. One wheel is also missing a center cap. So instead of cleaning and respraying my wheels I'm thinking about buying a set of 17" Cragar Black 'D' Windows to give it a real nice off-road look.

They're decently priced wheels, and I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on a new set of wheels. Plus everyone has the same style wheels on those trucks and I want to look different. I'd also one day like to put some pre-runner style fenders on it if I can ever afford to.

Really like the front fenders on this truck but not so much the back.

All my truck has suspension wise is a leveling kit and I don't plan on going any bigger since I know it will clear a 35. I really like the pre-runner look of high cut fenders with big tires but no monster lifts. Just a lil something to be different...everyone has the Pro-Comp riveted fender flares around here so I know mine would stand out like that. Lemme know what you guys think about the wheels and fenders....love em hate em you won't hurt my feelings!

The rally wheels would look cool. Do they come in anything other than black? In black they look like winter steelies...


I like that front bumper. But you need other mods to properly pull it off.

I think all Cragar offers is black, chrome and white. I wanna stay with a black wheel to accent the other black features of the truck and the dark blue paint. It doesn't look bad with the black dipped wheels that are on it now, they just need to be redone and I've never really liked the design of the wheel that much (they came on it when I bought it). I like the old school mud race truck look of those wheels. And I agree the bumper is cool but it's not something you can just leave by itself and get away with. I like the front fenders the most.

Image kinda sucks but I have these wheels on my Jeep. I went to these from the D windows and I LOVE them. Like Richard said the D's kinda look like winter steelies

Everyone is way too proud of em though...$$$$ [MENTION=8116]Dalamar[/MENTION] yes I have a couple sets of 17" tires and wouldn't really wanna go bigger if I didn't. I have a set of stock 18's for summer time but they just don't look right on there to me like 17's do.

Well if you wanna save money, that's the way to do it. I think those belong on trail rigs only, personally. There's nicer, cheap-ish wheels out there, dude.

I'm gonna shop around a little before I jump into buying a set of wheels. If I'm lucky I'd love to find a set of Raptor take-offs that are goin cheap, either the original wheels or the beadlocks.

I've been doing a lil shopping and finally came across some wheels I'm gonna pull the trigger on tomorrow.
