This is not my car. This car belongs to a friend of mine who is going to restore the car with his dad.
But since im the friend with the mustang, i'll be helping him alot with the work.
He picked the car up for $2000. It has 95xxx original miles and most parts are still from the factory (as i recall).
It's got the original 289ci V8 in it, and looks like it needs major attention.
The car itself was rarely driven by the previous owner. The car does not start right now.
Yesterday we removed the carburetor and cleaned out all the old fluids in the car. We put new gas in it and have yet to put in some new oil.
The battery works fine, the serpentine belt & fan also work, but upon trying to turn it on, the car will not start.
That left us to believe it was the starter, but it cannot be accessed easily, so we may take the car to a mustang shop to get it checked out tomorrow.
The shop is the same one that is going to be doing all the body, engine, and paint work. I believe they are charging just around $4000 for all the labor.
Anyways, here is the old coupe in its very worst stage.
We still have alot of cleaning up to do before we work on it.
