1994 Mustang GT pushrod adustment too tight?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Howdy folks,
going through a HCI swap i installed pushrods and tightened roller rockers down so there was absolutely no up and down movement from pushrods. When i first tightened everything down i went to check the work and noticed that some rockers had loosened. i noticed that the lifters have some give (i believe there is a spring inside the hydrolic lifters). so i pushed the pushrods down depressing the spring and retightened. all the pushrods now depress the spring inside each lifter thus eliminating all movement of the pushrods. Did I do this correctly. I made sure the lifters were on the base lobe of the cam, used the comp cam directions to make sure each valve was closed for the pushrod i was tightening.
all input is greatly appreaciated.
thanks.
