The TH400 is a proven component! Very tough! Ive witnessed a handful of friends pour money into ford auto transmission only to give up and swap to a TH400, their problems were solved afterwards
This is the hard truth I didn't want to face lol. They most definitely have been proven, it's just the adaptation that has me hesitant, learning all of this and doing it on my own tends to lead to buying the wrong parts or having to order parts during the install. I have made a cheat sheet so far for the TH400, bell housing, crank adapter, flex plate, TC etc. I have the superbell, PRW 164 tooth flex plate, snout adapter for GM TC to SBF, and then figuring out the custom driveshaft all on my list. With all of that the $$$ adds up, I was just hoping that someone would tell me the Lentech 4R70W rated at 1500hp would be good to go! It does come with a full manual valve body and trans brake, and custom TC. $4550 for the trans, and $14-1600 for TC. https://lentechautomatics.com/pricing/

LOL YEAH.. "354WHP".... RIGHT. That dyno is lying to you. Unless the Th400 really does suck up that much power. A stick car would probably be 75 more.
Yea the Dyno numbers were useless, the dyno itself was priceless though the tune was dialed in perfectly. Definitely more HP to the ground that the Mustang Dyno said, but we knew that. The guy who dynoed it actually predicted me running a 11.9 he was spot on, even with the shit transmission, which is still the 4R70W, haven't switched to the TH400 yet. That will help a ton, and I am switching to the Box R intake and a TFS-51403005 Cam. If I could find someone who wanted these parts I am taking out that would help a ton, but no such luck so far.

Inside still needs some work, left the radio out for more gauges. B&M ratchet shifter was a nice upgrade no more blowing past 2nd gear! Need to do something else with that nitrous gauge, was thinking of moving that to the radio bezel.

Couple updates. Box R purchased, powerglide with manual valve body and transbrake, drive shaft, all other trans parts etc. new upgraded cam as well.

Couple updates. Box R purchased, powerglide with manual valve body and transbrake, drive shaft, all other trans parts etc. new upgraded cam as well.
Track heat intake, and Trickflow track max stage two cam for sale, along with the 75mm throttle body, running a 90 now.
