1996 GT too Quiet?

Hi Guys, sorry, but i dont have a lot of experience with the 2V 4.6's. We just put a BBK off orad X-pipe and a SLP loudmouth cat back on my buddy's 96' Gt, and it loud as f**K from 1-3K rpm's, but then gets super quiet (almost stock) above that.... What gives? Is it because of the non PI head + Intake? :dontknow:

I'm not very familiar with the Modular but from what i have heard that would be the case.

low compression... i have the same problem with my basanni catted x and flowmasters... sounds great from 1-3 then after that... pooooo...

Im not sure if he has the 1's or 2's, but its fing annoying.. ive never had a mustang do this. How do i tell which model he has? It came with the car.

mine seems pretty loud above 3k ...it pisses my neighbors off do you have any vids

from inside the car it doesnt seem loud but out it is

Well from inside after the lower RPM"s on a stock nonpi the engine starts to CHOKE and sound congested. So, he would need engine work to get a louder car =[ PI intake is a start.

Mine is the opposite. Very docile until about 2800rpms then gets louder as it goes.

LM1's are the super loud kit isn't it? He probably has the 2's....X-pipes are not as loud as H's on these cars in my experience either. You want loud get a H and some Flows....
