So, took my 2000 gt down to the strip last night, ran a best of 14.69 @ 96.88 with a 2.3 60 ft. What mods would i have to be doing to get my car into the 13's? i was thinking gears, cold air intake and a chip. also, with these mods do you think i will be able to beat a 95 civic with a JDM b18 swap and a 50 trim turbo? i ran just about dead even with him once before and it would be sweet to take him out haha. he has run around the same as me at the track too. here is a vid of him running civic(14.6 run) vs cop (caprice)

Let me know of any other ideas for mods you guys have
Thanks

you could always add the small stuff like TB/Plenum/pulleys etc but you will gain maybe 10-15hp for a several hundred dollar investment.
If you want to kick his butt on the track spend for some gears and nitrous kit. With drag radials and a 100 shot you will destroy him.

Gears and dr youll probably take him... 100 shot youll embarass him.

My 2000 GT ran 13.9's consistantly with just a CAI, TB, plenum and catback

That was with street tires, OEM clutch (with howling TO bearing) OEM gears, OEM H-pipe and when I added a SCT tune it ran exactly the same time

+10000

gears
PI intake manifold
K&N filter
N2O

:)

if you REALLY want to drop money, skip the giggle gas and throw on a procharger.

our heads tend to starve the motor on top end, so if you want to bolt some stuff on do the full intake set up:

PI intake manifold
70 mm throttle body and plenum
cold air intake

id also suggest equal length shorty headers (for budget sake) while your there. thats about $1,200 worth of modifications (if you buy it all new, name brand stuff.)

I agree with Bob. Just throw in some 4.10s, radials, and if you really want to embarass him a 100 wet shot. buh bye civic. Id be willing to bet with just gears and radials you will put a good lead on him.

Okay thanks for the tips, think ill start with the CAI and either 3.73 or 4.10 gears. See how that goes.
