when i come to a stop-at a red light or stop sign--motor seems to shutter..when coming back down to idle..i have just had this car a short time.i saved it from-a young man-that was not treating it right.i had the ford dealer.to check car over..and service it..just a look see and brake check-not this problem-no records-what so ever.on what has been done to the car.no history.so i guess.i will start doing things to it.like trans fluid change-back brakes-fuel filter--got to find some one too do these things for me-dealer i guess.but any ideas on the shuttering problem.i have never had.a engine.that would not go back to idle-smoothly--i guess that would be the right word..shaking..then the motor--just idles.perfect.could it be a-trans thing..converter.any help-i thank you all..

oh and check your motor mounts. you could also have a slight miss doing it.

Add a can of Seafoam to gas tank but remember to save a little of it and suck it through the PCV valve. THEN- Go from there no matter what dealership said/didn't say.
