if its a t-45 it will swap but youd need the trans crossmember. the tail shaft housing on cobras are a tad bit different. if its a 3650 it will still swap.

depending on the cost of the swap! if you are paying $3500 - $4000 for the swap why bother :confused1:

if you have $3500 - $4000 available, you can sell your car for about the same and have between $7000 - $8000 and just buy yourself a 96 - 98 cobra some can be had with some nice mods in that price range....

I paid $6000 for mine 2 years ago!

I cant sell my GT, it has sentimental value to me, I cant ever sell it. The swap would be free since I have someone who would do it. Most likely I would pay him about 1g for the work.

if that 4valve fails you are looking at big bucks to replace it! it is the only thing that has always had me on the fence about owning a 4v. think it through! if your car is that sentimental to you leave it as close to what it is now!!! buy a cobra in the future!!!!!!!

I've personally done the swap and it's not all that difficult. You will need a set of 96-98 cobra fuel rails or aftermarket. Also a cobra throttle cable, and a maf calibrated for 24lb injectors. You will need to get all new coolant lines if it doesn't come with them as they are cobra specific. If keeping the coil packs, u will need a set of 96-98 cobra valve covers, or u will need to go coil on plug. If u keep the coil packs, u will have to splice the injector plugs from the 01 harness onto your 98 harness as the plugs are different, but the wires are color coded so it's stupidly easy. Solder that stuff and heat shrink it. Or if u don't want to cut up the harness they sell adapter kits for the injector plugs. U will also need a dynotune. That's all I have right now, if I think of more i'll post up.
