I'm undecided. I think I like the rear, but I'm not sure how I feel about getting the Shelby's pig snout...I don't like that the fog lights have to be smaller...I *really* think the 2011-2012 nose is a home run...too bad I'm not in a position to buy a new car, the 2011 is the first Stang I've really liked since the '98...hopefully the '11 won't be 13 years old by the time I get one...

What do you guys think?

EDIT: I'd like to see a GT without xenons, and I assume/hope the taillight blackout panel is optional/dealer installed.

here's the 2012 5.0 for comparison:

i hate the grill. the curved look doesn't look as good as the 2012 mustang.
the front splitters look kinda cool i guess.
not really sure if i like the honeycomb panel allover though.
wheels are hideous but that can be easily fixed.
the hood is also not the greatest i've seen.

as for the back, it looks a little too flat. there really isn't much design to it.
the tail lights look awfully weird & the license plate grill is much too big.

from this angle it even kind of looks like the convertile camaro..

resemblance?

i sure hope this isn't the final/real design of the 2013 mustang.
if so, i'd be a little disappointed.

Thanks for posting the '12 for comparison. Yeah I agree, I kind of like the lower half of the front bumper on the '13 with the splitters...but the top I'm really meh on. It looks good on a Shelby, but it does make the cars look fatter/heavier/taller. I think it would've looked great if they would've put the bottom of the '13 bumper with the top of the '12 bumper/hood.

The wheels are ok, if not a bit sci-fi. I'm assuming those are the Brembo wheels, since they look like just an updated version of the current ones.

I noticed the same thing with the rear on that blue 'vert pic...it does look like it's been flattened out a lot, but I think it may just be the picture...not sure if I like that or not either if that's really how it is. I like the shape of the tails, and I'm sure I'll love them in real life, but I don't know that I like them more than the '12...but I'd say I like them equally probably, at least for now.

Scrolling through stangnet it looks like they have an updated gauge cluster too:

The speedo and tach look alright, but what's all that digital shit in the middle? This one only has four gauges though, so it may be a regular GT model...I would assume the premium will have six gauges again, probably with the other two under the speedo...hopefully they are white face in the premium.

I didn't scroll down far enough on the Stangnet homepage to realize there were articles for the Shelby and the Boss too...the Shelby looks good as usual, not much difference there...but for some reason I really like the Boss for '13. 650 hp in the Shelby, where does it top out????

One thing I did just realize across all models is that they finally did away with/painted the lower valances body color...my only styling gripe with the '10-'12 models.

Oh well, wife's getting a new mini Cooper before I get anything so by the time I get that and pay it off and it's my turn, things will probably be in decline.

I'm kinda glad the Mustang and Camaro are at it again. The Mustang had no competition for a while, and it showed.

I LOVE those taillights, remind me of the old muscle cars of the 60s/70s. And those GT500 seats are winning! So... Ford is putting out MORE HP with a supercharger with a smaller engine than GM is with a bigger engine and a blower. Check and Mate.

I love these muscle car wars...The F-body had no competition for the last ten years of it's run, then the Mustang had no competition for most of a decade, now it's good to see them back head to head...can't wait to see comparisons between the GT500 and the ZL1, or the Z28. It's just too bad Chrysler can't infuse a lot more power into that sexy Challenger. I'd love a Challenger, but I do think Ford builds the best car of the 3.

But seriously what a time to be buying...between all the legacy models running around like the Boss, the ZL1, etc., or just the run of the mill V8 cars with 400+ horsepower, it sure would be a nice time to be dropping dimes. I think we've finally mastered the computer control/emissions era. 20-25 years of Detroit pumping out lethargic turds to keep the flame alive through the smogger era and the computer controlled era and trying to figure out how to make it all work and still move enough vehicles to keep production going through the dark days, and we come out of it with 600 hp cars that can idle like any other car, cruise around with the AC blasting, handle like they are on rails, and get 20+ mpg. And I think we have the most choice in models since the early '70s. Kudos to Detroit for turning it around.

I like too how the iconic 5.0L(302) and 5.8L(351) engines are back, although nothing like the original windsor motors, still good to see classic nameplates back. These HP wars are going to have to stop soon, this is getting stupid now lol.

I think it looks pretty good, I'm just glad they fixed the God awful lower rear bumper that they gave the GTs, wtf were they thinking in 2010 when they had all that black plastic shit down there.

quad exhaust... big NO NO for mustangs.
lets leave that to bmw & audis.

You kidding? i think that looks badass. And last I checked my dad's '69 mach1 has quad tips. I love it.

Absolutely not. It's not that it looks bad, its that it doesn't belong on a muscle car.
Its not a luxury sports car. No point in so many tips, we all know mustangs are loud.
