28" tall tire, will it fit?

So, I'm putting 4.10's in my car. I wanna run a 28" tall tire to compensate, but I think it may be tooo tall for my 94GT.

Someone told me a 26" tall would fit.

Car is on the stock suspension, sitting on 15" drag lites (well, will be once I buy tires).

Anyone have an experience in dealing with this?

28" should fit fine, i know it's a popular mod and especially with stock ride height you shouldn't have issues. Of course 26" tall will fit, that's the stock size.

They fit fine. I have a 275/60/15 on mine.

Yea, I wanna run ET Streets.

My only worry is; the rear suspension seems to squat easily... with 2 people in the car, the exhaust will scrape going over speed bumps.
The springs and shocks are fine, they are newer stock replacements.
This normal for SN95's?

The backspacing on my rims is 5.5 I think... So, I'm trying to figure out whats the maximum amount of tire I can fit without and rubbing or issues.
The wheels are 15x8.

I hope you got the power for a 28" et street If you dont you just going to bog it off the start. Youll be fine with a 26"

I only wanted to go with a 28" because I didn't wanna run outta gear by the time I hit the traps.

Yea, I should have some decent power. Cobra motor with long tubes, x pipe, cold air intake, and some nitrous added in the mix. Plus, the 4.10's will help.

In that case, I'll stick to a 26 then. I'm glad I made this thread now.
I just don't want it running outta breath before I go through the traps. Meh, if anything, I'll hold it out hahaa.

I think you would benefit from a tuner so you can change you limiters for that.
