A good converter and cooling options they are stout, not that heavy, and have o/d.

The good rebuild kits are under 500.

Are there better options for racing, can this tranny get expensive for a dedicated race car..... yes.

C4 and th400 are the next level up IMO...

Agreed, always something bigger and better. But for what I need a 4r will be perfect.

Decent converter and manual valve body and I'll be set

Little update. I had a feeling my fuel pressure gauge went out, I put a new one on and found my pressure was 12! Finally got a new reg, and a good one. Not the problem. My return was too small.. So I redid the fuel lines. -8 feed and -10 return. Fuel pressure is right at 6.5 now. I need to jet up a little now that the pressure is good. And should run even better on the juice!

Got some good new and more good new. Maybe not for the mustang but for me!

My new wife and I bought a house together so we have a garage of our own now! The mustang is parked in it, but will most likely stay there for a little. Cause we like to build mustangs and babies together!

So I will tinker here and there but it is at a point now where I want to do a built tranny and rear end, cage it and finally turbo it. So that might be the father-baby project of the future few years.

So been pretty busy the last few months. Got married, bought a house, moved in and makin babies! I will try and post pics of the wedding, as I think many would enjoy the theme of it. I am sure many can guess it but still I thought it turned out pretty sick!

Thanks! I know lots hate on it. But you know my dad said something the other day. Most guys are just scared. I'll admit I was for marriage and am still for parenthood. But that's cause I wanna do well. So thank you for the positive comments.

My wife won't let me sell, we would rather it sit then sell it. Both her and I enjoy it too much!

Congrats on getting married and the baby news! My 98 has been sitting for 2 reasons. We are getting ready to have our 3rd boy in just under 3 years and I have bought a fox body. It's harder to find time to work on the projects but I wouldn't change a thing. I also don't care how long it has to sit as long as I don't sell it.

Yea things have changed for sure. I love it though. And I am going back to school to pursue my nursing career. I am fortunate in that my wife likes cars and mustangs so she isn't always on my back out it and she understands it all.

Any one know what particular wires to jumper on the clutch safety switch? I am wanting to get that bypassed while I am rewiring my car.

And for those of you to lecture me about how dangerous it is, I agree. I am putting in an automatic this winter and will wire something up so it doesnt end up killing anyone. Especially with a future little one helping me out in the garage.

I also read that the auto cars have a little "spout" like plug that you can put something in there and does the same thing as jumpering the switch, since it is an auto. I cannot remember where it is located. I believe under the passenger side dash

Runs cooler and cheaper..yes. I cant see where it makes more power to an engine other wise able to run on pump gas. More timing is about it

You got it! Timing! This thing loves the timing.

Run about 35 degrees on a 150 shot and it is worth it.

I went bigger carb, the old carb needed a rebuild and I found a local guy who built me an e85 750 for a tad more than it would have cost me to rebuild the 650.

Oh did I mention it smells so good too haha

You guys and your e85 access! I dislike all of you right now, I don't have e85 readily available around me at all lol.
