how fast does a stock v6 auto run with the 3.73 and with 4.10 gears??

I got a 98 v6 auto (stock) and want a quicker acceleration but don't want to loose that much of high speed. I'm here in Germany so thats why

u dont want 4.10 on a v6 with an auto. you'll hate it. 3.73 will be good. u will notice the difference.

any reasoning as to why a person would hate it? just curious. i'd imagine the low end power would be awesome to have for the streets, but the fuel economy would suck the big one.

my DD is a 98 v6 Auto and i dont like it would like 4.10's

3.73's would be great though, and a huge step up from the 2.73's it has now

I dont think the engine is enough of a revver for so much gear... the engine bitches at you if you take it above 4k.

Plus its a decently torquey little motor so the 3.73 is enough to help her pull through the gears

just my .02

the v-6 motor does not need to be revd so high. a 4.10 gear in a v-6 with an auto tranny IMHO would be useless especially with an open differential. u cant go wrong with a 3.73 for the street or highway. and if you dont have a trac-lok i would recommend getting going in that dirrection.

+1 I had 3:73's in my v6 and loved them. Be sure to get the speedo gear with them though.
