Trying to decide which gears to put in I drive about 80 miles every day on the highway. I currently have 3.27 gears now. Tires are stock hight on the rear. I have a snyper tuner to adjust the trans so that wont be problem. Any one have ideas on what they have ran good or bad on either would be great.

Search feature..:).

4.10's for racing/in town driving
3.73's for everyday driving/highway

If you drive that much on the highway, say goodbye to your gas mileage with 4.10's. It wont be really horrible, but I'd go with 3.73's if I were you.

I have 3:73's in my 97. I am very happy with them. I still get 23-25 mpg on the highway. With 3:73's you can change the speedo with a simple speedo gear swap in the trans, anything over 3:73 you need a speedcal.

if its auto....................... 4.10

5 spd ........................... 3.73

4.10 in a 5spd is too much gear imo low end is nice but you run out of gear to quick .......now if you had a 6spd 4.10 is perfect.

I have 4.10's and would never EVER think of going any less. I'm not completely sure what my mileage is but it has to be in the upper 20's and highway mileage is great. You save gas by not having to downshift to pass and i can drive around town 35 mph in fifth gear at 1200 rpm and its great. Trust us 4.10 guys and GET THEM :headbang:

i like my 3.73's but i drive alot of highway and city miles for work and back home everyday. if i lived in the city ide go with a much bigger gear 4.30's to 4.56.

i dont think the gas will be too bad, personally i think theres something wrong with my car im only gettin 20 mpg. it really depends on your daily habits. if you drive distance trips just about everyday and want a mild street car ide go 3.73 or 4.10, if you want a radical street car and want to go hard on a straight track ide go 4.30 or 4.56.
