3.73 or 4.10s help pls!!!!!!!!?

hi idk what to go with 3.73s or 4.10s my 94 5.0 is a daily driver n sometimes freeway .... (wendsday night drag time) i need help with rpm on freeway , mpg all that thanks 285/40/17

4.10s all the way. Just got them in my 4v. The RPM at highway speed is like 200 higher or something insignificant like that (2400 instead of 2200). If you're worried about gas mileage you shouldn't be in a Mustang! Haha

I'd say 3.73s are more than enough for a daily driver, with 3.55s I'm at 2400rpm around 75mph.

Well that's kind of an irrelevant comment, as with any mod you get used to it and then want more... gears are no different. Have to stay realistic though in what you want out of them and what you use the car for. Just for the record it does go both ways, I know a guy with 3.73s that wants 3.55s.


I told you what my freeway RPM is, adjust accordingly.

I would recommend 3.73's higher and your going to be screaming on the highway unless you drop a t-56 in there...

a guy who lives in my area he upgrade it to 4.10s n he tried'em n he decided the next day to upgrade again to 4.30s

3.73s and 26" tall tires put me through the traps around 5500 rpms, top of my power band. 1/4 mile that is .

if you are so concerned with top speed, get some 2.73's... your top speed will be over 200mph...

and my 4.30's... i should be able to bang 125 in the 1/4 mile
