Since you already have split port you'd only be upgrading to the 4.2 for displacement. You can also stroke. If you can get the 4.2 cheap, go ahead. Its up to you, lots of people have made good power on the 3.8
Not true ^ I bought a salvaged title but running gt for 1000, drove it home took what I needed and then I sold the body for 500 and the wheels for 500 so I did mine for nothing but labor.
I wished I would have done a pushrod motor tho..
It was slow, but I knew I wanted to build a v8 so this was a good start.
Its really what you want to do. Its all going to be expensive and time consuming, it the product you end up with and being happy with it.

Google for some v6 dedicated forums. You might find some! Most of the v6 mustang forums have unfortunately converted to the new v6 because of the huge potential in those.Wonder if I could find a used kit?
