well on one side your right HOWEVER that 370rwhp in a 3000lb fox car ( or a major stripped sn95body ) is a entirely diffrent story

Even if they make 370 whp, my car is lighter, therefore faster. :idiot2:

I dont know an exact number on my car, but it is a 248 package and my trunk is gutted + backseat is gone.
My car is probably fairly light, probably not too much over 3k

I seriously doubt theres a lot of 370 whp f-bodies rolling around anyways, but even if there was, I would be able to beat him or atleast put up a good fight.'


In the end the driver is still rolling in a catfish.

well take it from me, and i particularly like camaro's , but a cam and a tune is all it takes to make that on a ls1. Like he said, it isn't going to scare them, but hey you might win...

I'll put it this way, the vice pres of my car club has a trans am ws6 and it has TEA Heads, Cam, Fast INtake, Long tubes and exaust and he pushed out 480 rwhp on a mustang dyno. Now he is talking about getting a new shortblock and turbo set up ... scary

I dont have nothing against them..I just dont like the car.. The drivetrain is amazing, but other than that its crap IMO.

I really dont think these people with cammed,tuned, 400 whp n/a f bodies drive thier cars on a daily basis anyway...

I hardly ever see them on the road.

I dont know of ANYBODY around here with one, and being near a MAJOR dragstrip ( Coastal Plains in Jacksonville NC ) thats saying a lot

Theyre all broke I guess.

Seriosly, Im like 15 miles from cecil county dragstrip and in all my years cruising Newark (where all the cars cruise, mess around, race)

ive only encountered one f body.

We did a couple pulls.

From a dig it was pretty even, but once we hit 60-70 mph he started pulling hard.

Down here in Huntsville, AL I can think of 8 off the top of my head. 2 are 450+ at the wheels and drive everyday. The rest are all also daily driven that are 400 at the wheels. Me personally I could care less because I don't street race.

oh, anyway...when I was talking about having 370 whp, I was saying that its better than a 300 hp n/a build.

F bodies sure wont be scared of a 300 whp n/a stang if theyre not scared of one with 370

Chill man I'm just giving my opinion. It looks like you live in a area not well populated with F-bodies so thats always a good thing. As weight goes there isnt a very large gap between a sn-95 and a F-body, maybe 200 pounds. If you are a decent driver with a good set of tires and they are lightly modded you should be good to go. But if they have any decent modifications I wouldn't make it a money race. I don't want to take anything away from you or your car by any means, I have one in the same color and love it. Sometimes you just have to know your place in the food chain.

mine weighs near 3400

1st off, here in Charlotte NC its like F body country... there are 8 f bodies in my car club and 7 are over 330 rwhp... 1 isn't and its a v6 and its pushing close to 280 i think. All daily drivers

Let me break it down this way... with a 300 rwhp N/A build... your starting out on a better foot than boosting a 215 rwhp car. Plus if i was to go with the 300 rwhp set up i would do at least a 125 shot or gas on it and there is my 425 rwhp. Just a thought ya know.

Id rather get a blower than a pi swap.

How the hell does a v6 camaro make 280 wheel horsepower?

Is that even possible haha.

Void, you'll be close, see my jerk thread. As for cams, VT stage II, or cushman motorsports as they are now called. Manley nextek springs to go with them. If you wanna do a clean up and think you're up for it, go ahead, if there's someone experienced around to give you pointer's, mores the better. A good P&P will blow you past 320 rwhp, just make sure you use stock thickness gaskets.

I never see any Fbodies here in Cleveland either, and didn't see many in Cali. The Mustang outsold them 10 to 1, that's why they were dropped from the GM line. Everybody begged them to bring it back, now they did, and it will wind up like the GTO, mullet heads will bitch about the price and won't buy them.

Yea, it has all kinda shit done to it... no charger though. Its got a lot of motor work... p&p heads, cam, intake, great tune, super high cr... other stuff that i don't know about "damn bowties" lol. But it did the 280 on a mustang dyno... now why someone would put all that work into a v6 camaro? thats the question that is worth more money than he spent lol.
