lower intake, 351W specific headers, distributor, pushrods and a few other parts that won't transfer over.

accessory brackets are another thing I know of. I've already taken my Ambien, so I'm not thinking 100% right now, but I'll try to do a follow up in the morning once I can think straight if noone else gives you all the info.

Need the engine
Flywheel and balancer with correct imbalance
Ford pan swap kit
Distributor
Lower intake or whole depending on what you have

351 headers might be needed as well.

351w Distributor, 351w intake, pan and pick up you can get from an old 351 LTD. swap headers, drop motor mounts unless you want to run a huge cowl hood. brackets will swap over they attach to the heads not the block like tbe fox, 20 oz flywhell and balancer.

It will all fit a 351... but its not a very good idea to use it for that combo.

351w swap list

351w long block
a different flywheel. if you use a stock 351w you will need to find a 28oz balance one. most aftermarket flywheels have different weights that comes with them
a different harmonic balancer. a stock 351w you will need to find a 28oz balance one
351w efi intake (truck/van 5.8 lowers and your upper e7, or 95 cobra r/93-95 ford lightning GT40, or any aftermarket one)
351w dizzy (5.8L truck/vans or cobra r or aftermarket one, the trucks and vans have remote tfi fyi)
351w swap headers(bbk sells long tubes for fox body and they will work on sn95 cars, and they sell shorties that work with stock mid pipe)
351w swap oil pan(early 80s LTD 351w oil pan and pick up tube, frpp swap kit, or 7qt aftermarket)
you got to extend the rubber hose on your fuel rail
you can use your stock accessory brackets, just got to measure for a belt lenght
some say you got to extend wiring but i never did.

5litrarag- basically what you said is that my cobra u/l intake is useless on the 408 stroker. anyone know a good cam for stroker motor? any experiences?
yeah its too small.... remember that "dog" aka 95 Cobra R that was rated at a whopping 300 hp? so yeah.... count on getting another intake.
What are your goals for this? What kind of power are you trying to make? Is it gonna be a street car, race car, somewhere in between?

Decide that before you get started or this will get expensive and confusing in short order.

Cam... custom no doubt. FTI (Ed Curtis) & Buddy Rawls pop to my mind first.

Building a 408 to make big power costs big money. Slap a blower on your 302. It's easier, cheaper, emissions legal, and you'll make about the same power.

I have had 351, 418, and 422 ci motors in my SN95s. I wouldn't do it again.

Wow, really... thats interesting.
so you would just do a dart based small stroker w/ a big blower instead?
